Our philosophy is to build a single site that is accessible to as many people as possible.
Accessibility doesn't just mean writing good web site code,it means we will endeavour, where possible, to use Plain English, stripped of jargon and colloquialisms which will make our site easier to use. Low graphics and text alternatives will allow both sight impaired users and users of hand-held internet devices to access our information easily.
If you feel the site is too hard to view, feel free to select, from below, a different look to the site. The accessible link will reverse out colours and increase text size to help with the interpretation of content on the site.
Please note: Your computer will have to accept a cookie -usually automatic - in order that your browser remembers how to view the pages and you may need to refresh the page after selecting the link for the new view to take effect.
Scottish Borders Council Arts Service in association with Calligrafix New Media, make every effort to create and maintain a site that is accessible to everyone. However a web site is never static and sometimes pages get modified. If you have problems accessing any page in this site, please contact us using the button below, stating the address of the page and the problem you encountered.
